Chaturbate and Stripchat are two of the biggest names in live cams, but their audiences look surprisingly different. Stripchat has more performers broadcasting at once, while Chaturbate collects a much larger share of the viewers.
To see how the major cam sites compare, we looked at a week of public live-show data collected by LoopCams, a live cam aggregator that tracks streams across 20 platforms. The results show where the biggest crowds gather, which kinds of shows attract the most viewers, and where you are more likely to find a quieter room.

Between October 26 and November 1, 2026, an average of about 23,900 shows were live at any moment across the platforms we track. Seven of those platforms report how many people are watching each room. On those, about 19,700 shows were live at a time, with a combined 1.33 million reported viewers, or about 67 per show.
That audience is far from evenly spread. Chaturbate had under a third of all live shows, but about two-thirds of the reported viewers, with an average of 133 people per room. Stripchat is the opposite case: it had the most shows online, more than a third of the total, but only about one in six viewers, averaging 26 per room.
The rest sit in between. BongaCams averaged 63 viewers per show, CamSoda 62, Amateur.tv 28, and CAM4 just 9. Streamate, MyFreeCams and LiveJasmin don't give us comparable viewer counts, so they are left out of the audience figures.
These are the concurrent audience figures each platform reports, not independently verified counts of unique people. One person can have several rooms open, and platforms may count viewers differently, so the differences are best read as a broad comparison rather than an exact one.

Solo girls make up about two-thirds of the shows on the platforms with viewer counts, so they dominate any list. Per show, though, couples pull the biggest crowds: 124 viewers on average, against 75 for solo girls. Couples are only about 9% of these shows, yet they collect 17% of the reported audience.
Guys and trans performers have a smaller, more niche audience, at about 21 viewers per show each.
Reported viewer numbers have two peaks of almost the same height: 20:00–22:00 UTC, evening in Europe and afternoon in the Americas, and 14:00–16:00 UTC, evening in East Asia and morning in Colombia.
Big rooms can get very big. The largest audience we observed since tracking began in September was a Chaturbate show with more than 117,000 reported viewers, and several other Chaturbate rooms passed 80,000 the same week. The top rooms we saw on BongaCams reached about 21,000, on Stripchat 14,800 and on CamSoda 11,000. On smaller platforms a big show is a few thousand: 3,100 on Amateur.tv and 1,800 on CAM4.

Colombia dominates the country list in our data. About 23% of the model profiles we saw during the week listed Colombia, more than twice the share listing the United States (about 11%). Medellín and Cali are known for their cam studios, and the numbers reflect that.
After that the list flattens out fast: Brazil, Germany and the Philippines at just over 2% each, then the UK, France, Kenya, Italy and Spain. Country information is self-reported and missing on about a third of profiles, so these are listed locations, not verified places of residence. Most profiles list English (73%), and Spanish is a strong second at about 31%; many list both.
If you want a busy room with lots of chat, Chaturbate and couples' shows are where the crowds are. If you'd rather have a smaller audience, Stripchat and CAM4 have much lower average viewer counts. Individual rooms vary a lot on every site, so the most reliable way to find a quiet one is to check the live viewer count on the room itself rather than relying on the platform average.
The analysis covers October 26 – November 1, 2026, using public broadcast listings collected across 20 cam platforms. A show counts as live when a broadcaster is listed in a public show at the moment of a catalog refresh. Viewer counts are the ones the platforms report and may not be directly comparable. Country and language information comes from broadcaster profiles, and one performer may have accounts on several platforms.
